      Here's What Happened
in the Rest of the League:

Game 2: St. Louis Blues vs. Dallas Stars

A low-scoring affair, Game 2 between the Blues and Stars was a battle once again, between simulation Jordan Binnington and Ben Bishop.

Oskar Sundqvist would be the difference maker in this one, scoring twice, including the game winner.

Post-game, when asked about his performance, Sundqvist instead deferred his reply to, β€œSimulation Cory Perry is the dirtiest player in the entire league.” He then walked away to the dressing room.

We will aim to get a comment from Perry, next game.

      STL – Sundqvist (3) – Kyrou
      DAL – Benn (2) – Dickinson, Gurianov

      No Scoring

      STL – Sundqvist (4) – Sanford, Scandella

      Series Tied 1-1.

Game 2: Philadelphia Flyers vs. Carolina Hurricanes

If there’s one thing we took from this Game 1, it’s that Gritty absolutely HATES losing in the Playoffs.

The mascot forced a 10-minute stoppage in play during Game 1, after launching himself through the glass after the Canes went up 6-1. As a result, extra security was on hand to contain him in Game 2.

Luckily, the security was not necessary, as Philadelphia came away with Game 2, on the hands of Tyler Pitlick, Claude Giroux and Kevin Hayes.

The series moves over the simulation Raleigh, all tied at 1.

PHI – Pitlick (4) – Van Riemsdyk, Myers
      CAR – Martinook (2) – Dzingel, Skjei

      PHI – Giroux (1) – Hayes, Myers

      PHI – Giroux (2) – Couturier, Niskanen
      PHI – Hayes (3) – Laughton
      CAR – Aho (3) – Svechnikov, Teravainen

      3 Stars (1-3):
      Giroux, Hayes, Myers

      Series Tied 1-1.

Game 2: Boston Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

Boston came into Game 2 eager to avenge their loss in Game 1.

β€œI just really hate simulation Brad Marchand and that’s about it,” said simulation John Cooper pregame. β€œI want him to lose more than I even want to win, as a team.”

Though Marchand didn’t find the scoresheet, teammates Charlie McAvoy, Anders Bjork and Patrice Bergeron sure did, sealing a 3-1 victory in Game 2.

Game 3 will be back in fake Tampa, where it is likely to be thunder-storming on Monday.

      BOS – McAvoy (3) – Krejci, DeBrusk
      BOS – Bjork (1) – Ritchie
      TBL – Stamkos (6) – Kucherov, Hedman

      BOS – Bergeron (3) – Unassisted

      3 Stars (1-3):
      Rask, Bjork, McAvoy

      Series Tied 1-1.
