Round 2, Game 4 - Highlights from Around the League

Game 4: Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver Canucks

The absence of Tyler Ennis on the first line didn’t deter the Oilers from exploding to their biggest win of the playoffs, so far.

James Neal was excellent in Ennis’ place, potting a goal of his own and adding 2 assists.

Jacob Markstrom wasn’t great, but simulation Travis Green maintained that the Canucks will stick with him for Game 5.

“He’s our simulation, guys,” said Green.

The bottom six for the Oilers stepped up, too, with goals from Khaira, Archibald, and Haas.

Full video highlights from the game can be found here.

With this victory in hand, the Oilers now have a chance to close out the series at fake Rogers Place on Thursday, April 30th at 7:00pm MDT! Game 5 will be LIVE on our Facebook Page, with Dustin Nielson from TSN 1260. We hope to see you there!

      Here's What Happened
in the Rest of the League:

Game 4: Dallas Stars vs. St. Louis Blues

Alberta boy, fake Colton Parayko got the simulation Blues on the board early in Game 4, with his 2nd of the #UnitedCup playoffs.

Teammates David Perron, Jaden Schwartz, and Brayden Schenn would add a tally of their own, giving the Blues a 4-0 lead, heading into the 3rd.

Jordan Binnington did have to be solid in the final frame, as the Stars put up a valiant effort to get back into the game.

Joe Pavelski would find the net in the 3rd for the Stars, but so would Sammy Blais, giving the Blues the 5-1 win and evening the series at 2.

Game 5 will go Thursday night, back in fake St. Louis.

Game 4: Carolina Hurricanes vs. Philadelphia Flyers

Vincent Trocheck has been a star for the simulation Hurricanes so far in the #UnitedCup playoffs, which he was once again on Wednesday.

Nate Thompson and Matt Niskanen gave the Flyers a 2-0 lead after 2, but the Hurricanes would tie it up in a thrilling 3rd period, with goals from Andrei Svechkinov and Brady Skjei.

For the first time in this series, we would get to see the Storm Surge, as it was Trocheck with the overtime winner.

Post-game network coverage was hacked by a livestream of what appeared to be hacker group Anonymous; however, strange orange strands of hair were visible from behind the Guy Fawkes mask.

Further investigation showed that the hacker was really just Gritty, whose message was simple: “All Hurricanes fans in attendance at fake Wells Fargo Center for Game 5 will be exterminated.”

Game 4: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Boston Bruins

Brayden Point continued his hot streak on Wednesday, picking up his 6th of the playoffs to open the scoring and give the Lightning a late 2nd period lead.

In the 3rd, Nick Ritchie would even the score, sending this game to overtime.

Jake Debrusk, son of Louie Debrusk—local Sportsnet legend and everybody’s favourite colourman (way better than simulation Ray)—would be the overtime hero in Tampa. Tying this series at 2.

We reached out to simulation Louie postgame at his fake phone number 777-888-9999.

“I’m so proud of my simulated son. I raised him throughout his simulated childhood, was his simulated youth hockey coach and now get to see all of his hard work payoff in the simulated playoffs,” he said. “A fake, simulated dad really can’t be much prouder than that”.
