We will set up the #UnitedCup Conference Finals shortly, but first, let’s take a look back at last night’s two Game 7s!
Game 7: Boston Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Still trying to prove themselves as a Stanley Cup contender, the Lightning would need to get past the Bruins in Game 7 to continue their dream.
Boston held the lead for most of this game, off of goals from unusual suspects, such as Matt Grzelcyk and Par Lindholm.
However, it was the usual suspects from Tampa who would settle this game, with Alex Killorn and Brayden Point scoring late in the 3rd to give the Lightning the series win.
They will move on to the Eastern Conference Finals to face the Carolina Hurricanes. Game 1 of that series goes Wednesday night.
BOS – Grzelcyk (1) – Lindholm
TBL – Johnson (1) – Gourde, McDonagh
BOS – Bergeron (5) – Marchand, DeBrusk
TBL – Coleman (4) – Killorn
BOS – Lindholm (1) – Wagner, McAvoy
TBL – Killorn (4) – Stamkos, Sergachev
TBL – Point (7) – Stamkos, Coburn

Game 7: St. Louis Blues vs. Dallas Stars
The Stars were on the ropes after going down 3-2 in the series in Game 5 and would need a heroic effort by the team in order to move on.
Roope Hintz proved to be that hero, notching a hat-trick in Game 7, including the overtime winner.
The Stars will move on the face the Oilers in the 3rd Round, with home ice going to Edmonton.

Final Round 2 Results
On to the Next Round…
The simulation Dallas Stars will have an exceptionally quick turnaround, as they head up to fake Edmonton for Game 1 just 23 hours after finishing up their last series.
Can the Oilers take advantage of a tired Dallas squad in Game 1?
Joakim Nygård will be available for the Oilers in Game 1, after being injured early in the 2nd Round. Tyler Ennis, however, is still listed “day-to-day” and will not play in Game 1.
For the Stars, there are no injuries to report. They will need a more disciplined performance from Captain Jamie Benn in order to win the series, as he is currently a -11 on the post-season, despite having 9 points.
Tune in to our Facebook Page Tuesday, May 5th at 7pm for Game 1 with Dustin Nielson!

In the East...
The Tampa Bay Lightning will get 1 day of rest, before hosting the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final on Wednesday.
Could we have a repeat of 2006 and have an Oilers-Hurricanes final?
The Lightning will certainly want to have their say in that; a team that hasn’t lived up to its high expectations for the last number of seasons.
Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos, and Brayden Point are all on a roll and will look to continue their scoring-ways in the 3rd round.
