      Pick your location

What kind of trial are you tackling? The gradual rolling terrain of Elk Island Park? The secluded Bunchberry Meadows? A icy mountain pass in Banff or Jasper? Regardless of the difficulty level, we’ve got the shoes for every level of snowshoe expertise. Check out our handy sizing guide for tips on how to pick the perfect shoe for you.

      Pick your shoe

Equally important is that you have the proper shoe for the proper terrain. We carry three level of snowshoes for both adults and children. Adult snowshoes are divided into Recreational Snowshoes for use on beginner trails and flat terrain, Backcountry snowshoes that offer better grip for more variable terrain, and Mountain Snowshoes for the steepest and difficult to bypass terrain. Children’s snowshoes are primarily classified by weight: we offer categories for children under 50 pounds, from 50-90 pounds, and for children over 90 pounds.

      Pick your accessories

The snowshoe is only part of the total package though. You don’t go out into the cold armed with just snowshoes after all! You need a proper jacket that that’s equal parts warm and breathable. You need a warm winter cap so you can stay out as long as you want. You need a pair of sunglasses or goggles to properly combat glare from the snow. And you need some sturdy poles to keep you moving no matter how deep the snow gets.
